Create your own Children’s Book
This story was super fun to create. My son, Parker, created Pirate Bear when he spray painted a bear with a pirate hat on a 6 x 9 foot drop-cloth canvas. That painting led to this book and a fun nightly tradition of telling Pirate Bear stories to my kids!
In the beginning of this journey, they didn’t chime in with any of their thoughts. Now, they graciously interrupt me during the story to add creative ideas to add to the fictitious world we have created together. I have seen their creative confidence grow as we create together.
Sometimes, it is hard to get started, so I created this free tool to help you create your first children’s book with your kids! Input a few prompts (a character, an incident, etc), then the tool will create a 16 page story with blank illustrations for your kid to add in. It’s free and fun. Try it out!
